ENGLISH DESCRIPTIONGospel-Centered Kids Ministry is a work written by Brian Dembowczyk that presents an urgent, profound, and transformational call to leaders, pastors, teachers, parents, and volunteers who serve in children’s ministry. The book addresses one of the most alarming challenges facing the church today: the abandonment of faith by a high percentage of young adults who grew up in the church. With striking statistics-such as 70% of youth leaving the church upon reaching adulthood-the author offers an honest analysis of why children’s ministries must be reshaped with a gospel-centered focus. The book is structured into six parts that present a comprehensive vision of gospel- centered children’s ministry: teaching, transformation, mission, leadership, and partnership with parents. Dembowczyk argues that many churches have offered a moralistic and fragmented approach to Scripture, presenting Bible stories as behavioral lessons rather than as part of one great narrative that points to Jesus Christ. As a result, children may learn “the stories of the Bible” but fail to understand “the story of the Bible,” thus missing the very heart of the gospel. With a solid theological foundation, a warm pastoral tone, and practical examples, this book encourages leaders to teach the Bible as a unified story of redemption, to help children find their identity in Christ, and to equip them from an early age to live as disciples and missionaries. Throughout the book, the church is challenged not to settle for entertaining programs or surface-level behavior, but to form hearts truly transformed by the grace of God.Gospel-Centered Kids Ministry is an essential guide for anyone who longs to see the next generation not only remain in the church, but flourish spiritually through a deep, authentic, and gospel-centered faith in Jesus Christ.
